Sunday Social

What is your dream job? To be an actress.
If you had just won the lottery and didn't need to work for money, what would you do with your time?  I'd travel the world, go on a shopping spree, buy a house or two, splurge on gifts for others, and much more.
What piece of career advice would you give to someone just starting out in your field? I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. But I know, that you need to follow your dreams and you need to do what you love. And don't rush into a career, you may regret in the future. My mom was a nurse, all because my grandfather wanted her to be one and she did it just to make him happy. She wasn't happy in that field. She's now an assistant teacher at  nursery school and loves it.
What would be your ideal “just for fun” job? A singer in a band or pop star.
What was your first “real” job? I worked at my dad's medical office, answering calls, making calls, and working in medical record. Ugh...I hated that job. I wasn't comfortable there and the manager was a jerk (I'm being nice calling him that).

Currently

This weeks themes:
leading, following, sipping, thinking, smiling

I'm currently leading nothing. I'm not a leader, I'm a follower.

I'm currently following a ton of new blogs.

I'm currently sipping some water. I don't drink soda and I hate coffee and tea, just water and juice.

I'm currently thinking about a lot. A job, planning a wedding, and my fiance (he's always on my mind).

I'm currently smiling at the thought of marrying my fiance in 2016,  to finally be his wife, for him to be my husband, and to finally start a life together.

Blogtember: A Mistake

Write about a time you screwed up - a mistake you made.

I actually don't remember my mistakes that clearly. I know I've made mistakes. Heck, I probably made many, but I don't remember them clearly. That's because after I make a mistake, I forget about it. I push them back in my mind.

But I do remember spending $6,000 in two months in November 2012. You see, I got a debit card from TD bank. I was thrilled. Finally, I could buy whatever I wanted online or in store. I never really used it in the stores, mainly online. And that's what I did. Bought things from Etsy and sites like Groopdealz, Sassy Steals, and other daily deal sites. I bought concert tickets and then, due to rain, I didn't go. I bought makeup from Sephora and Urban Decay, I bought things for my fiance, I used it occasionally for restaurants, etc. I now wish I never went through all that money. I wish I saved some so I could use it now to buy things that I really need and to put some aside for a future apartment for my fiance and I. I could really use that money right now. But I was careless and I learned a very important lesson. Never go through a big chunk of money in two months. You never what you'll need it for in the future.

Autumn Tag

Today, I'm linking up to Autumn Tag with A Scottish Lass

Favorite thing about Autumn?
Everything! The scents, decorations, Halloween, the crisp weather, the food, baking, the colors, etc. I could go on forever.

Favorite Drink
Hot chocolate in the winter and a watermelon drink and lemonade in the summer.

Favorite Scent/Candle
Anything sweet and fall scented. Especially the pumpkin and harvest candles.

Best Lipstick
I don't really wear lipstick. I do wear Baby Lips by Maybelline though.

Go to Moisturiser
Anything from Bath and Body Works and

Go to color for eyes
I usually do a neutral as a base and then I add a light pink for some color.

Favorite music to listen to
I haven't been listening to new music lately, but right now I love Little Mix, The Saturdays, Betty Who, and Tonight Alive.

Favorite outfit
I love wearing sweaters this time of year and leggings. Other than that, I'm pretty simple.

Autumn treat
My fiance and I are planning to dress up for Halloween and since his birthday's coming up in October, I'm planning on taking him out to eat and getting some ice cream.

Favorite place to be
Home and in the early autumn I love to go to the beach for awhile.

Blogtember: Life Lately

Autumn is officially here! Yay! My second favorite season. That means I get to decorate for autumn and bake delicious autumn treats. It also means my favorite holiday is coming up; Halloween!

Lately...

I'm still searching and applying for a job.
I submitted an application to Bath and Body Works.
I went to Governors Island with my fiance over the weekend.
Over looking the city.

I picked up my Associates degree in Liberal Arts from my college.

I've been cooking more and baking less.
I've been obsessed with Instagram and giveaways.
I've been trying to exercise more (like 3 days a week, but I've fallen to 2 days a week now).
I've gone back into pen paling and writing letters.
I won a giveaway from Groopdealz.

And that's about it! Nothing major has happened in my life lately.

Five Among Friends

Today, I'm linking up to Five Among Friends with Sydney of Bump Along The Way

If you could pick up and move anywhere for one year where would it be?
I'd move to....

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Graduating college.

What is your idea of the perfect date?

I'm not picky. If my fiance puts something together and puts a little thought into it, I'm not going to complain.

What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people stand in the middle of a sidewalk or hallway, when people walk like they're 90, and guys who where their paints down so low that they you can see part of their boxers.

How has blogging benefited your life?
It's helped my writing skills, I've made more friends, it's helped me open up more with others and myself, and I love blogging. I've doing it for years now and I don't know where I'd be without it. I love it so much, that I'm considering doing journalism in the future.

Blogtember: Only Photos

I admit, I've been slacking a bit on the blogtember posts (and other posts in general) this week. I'll be honest with you, I get lazy sometimes, and I don't always feel like blogging. Anyway, since I took a hiatus from blogging from January to August, I'm going to show you some photos of what's been going on in my life during that time.

My fiance and I back in February at the Top of the Rock in NYC.
