A Little Bit More About Me
Since I've gained a few new followers, I figured I would tell you guys more about myself.
- You'll hardly see pictures of myself on here. I hate having my picture taken, so there are no recent pictures of myself. I don't like how I look in them nor do I take a decent picture. I mean, I look good in the mirror (if only the mirror was a camera *sigh*) but when it comes to getting my picture taken, I have no idea what happens. It's like the camera hates me or something.
- I'm 20 going on 21 and I happen to live in NYC (10 minutes outside, but it's close enough). I'm in my third year of college, studying liberal arts. I hope to go into the music business one day and if that doesn't work out, open a bakery.
- I don't want to have any kids. I want to get married one day, but no kids. Maybe when I'm in my late 30's or 40's, I'll change my mind. But for now and the next number of years, there won't be any kids running around. Don't get me wrong, I like kids. But for me, it's too much responsibility and stress. And the music business....well, it's not a place to raise a family or anything. Most of my time will be spent away from home (on the road, at work, etc) and that's not the lifestyle I would want for my kid.
- I'm Catholic but I don't practice it. I do talk to God and celebrate the holidays, but you won't catch me at church or anything.
- I recently got into astrology and tarot cards. I read my horoscope daily and I check the "tarot card of the day" online. I believe in the meaning and traits behind my sign (Cancer) and meaning of the tarot cards.
- I run a music blog on Tumblr called The Jukebox. It's my baby and it's turning 3 this May. I love running it and I wouldn't give it up for any amount of money.
- I've been researching my family tree since I was in 7th/8th grade. I love it and I've made great progress in my tree. I also love my heritage and nationalities. I have 7 nationalities (besides American). That's right! 7 nationalities! I'm Italian, Polish, German, Irish, Swedish, English, and Dutch (I feel like I'm missing one...). There are probably more nationalities but I'm not completely certain about them.
And that's basically it! I hope you have a lovely day!
xoxo
PS. If you ever want me to research your family tree, just let me know! Either leave me a comment on here or email me at mscdyson@ymail.com.

Valentine's Day Swap
Back in January, Mary Rebecca hosted a Valentine's Day Swap. Since I love swapping, mailing packages to others, and receiving packages myself, I decided to sign up. And guess who my partner was? The hostess her herself, Mary Rebecca! Anyway, here's what she sent me.
A notebook with Snoopy and Woodstock and some Valentine's Day pencils.
My Valentine's Day card.

Some stickers. The last picture are scented stickers! They smell like donuts, cookies, and cupcakes! I love them!
Some note cards and a necklace from Mary's shop :)
Some stationary and envelopes.
Cupcake holders. I will definitely be using these soon :)
Chocolate coffee spoons. I received 2 of these, this Mocha one and an Irish Cream one. I couldn't wait to try the Irish Cream, so that's why there's no picture. I don't drink coffee, so I just eat them the way they are.
I also received a Hershey bar, but chocolate doesn't stay around for very long in my house.
Anyway, sorry about the terrible pictures. I don't have very good lighting in my house nor do I have an area where there's a light this time of year.
Have a lovely day!

In The Kitchen
I forgot to post this a few weeks ago, so here's a belated "In The Kitchen".
As some of you may know, I LOVE to bake. That's all I do; it's my specialty. But I know when I move out on my own one day and start a family, we can't just eat baked good everyday and I kind of want to know how to cook. I mean, unless I marry a chef, I'll probably doing the cooking. And, let's just say, I can't cook to save to my life. Actually, I lied. I can only make pasta dishes, but I can't be eating that 24/7. And to be honest, I just don't know how to cook, I have no patience to do so. Which is why I dread it. Oh, and I also have this problem with reading the recipe at times (long story). You see, baking is simple. You mix everything together, throw it in a dish or form the dough into balls, throw it into the oven, clean up, and sit back and wait for it to be done. Cooking on the other hand, not so simple.
So this year, I want to try my hand at cooking. My parents are fine with it. Whatever night of the week I want cook, they let me. Usually, I'm in the mood to do any type of cooking on Friday's. So guess I'm doing tonight? Cooking! More specifically Easy Penne Pasta with Zucchini and Basil Pesto and Zucchini Chips. Those two dishes are really easy, which is why I don't mind making it myself. I've made the pasta dish and the chips before and they turned out great. And lately I've been on a zucchini kick.
Zucchini Chips with breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and some pepper and garlic. Ok, so I made a mistake making the dry ingredients and I had to start over. Other than that, they turned out great.
Penne, zucchini, and basil pesto. Got a little stressed out in the beginning because my parents decided to come in and bombard me with questions and I almost burned myself on the oil. Other than that, it turned out pretty good.
I don't think I'll ever cook again. It's way to stressful for me and if I do ever do cook again, it'll be next month. Cooking isn't my forte and I'll stick to baking.
Have a lovely day!

Just A Quick Little Update
1. This moustache plush is now up in the store, Midnight City Creations. If you'd like, I can make the plush in different colors, so just let me know.
2. I know I've been MIA recently, but school just started back up again last Monday, so I kind of been busy with that. Also, I haven't had anything to really post or talk about on here.
3. I've been making my own stamps (I'll make a post about that soon).
4. I've been trying my hand at cooking, so I'll be blogging about my experience soon.
5. I'm trying to stay off the internet more. So lately, I've been busy with crafting and writing letters and swapping goodies with other people. Ok, so I haven't been busy with letter writing, just crafting and swapping.
6. I've been on a roller coaster these past few months. I'm fine for a number of days, I'm thinking things are starting to turn around and look up for me, and then BAM! my negativity comes back and bites me and then it's down hill from there (I'll probably make a post about that soon).
7. I just got into Royal Pains a few weeks ago.Why I haven't watched this show before, is beyond me, but I love it! And I look forward to Wednesday nights.
And that's basically it and all I can think of at the moment. I'll probably think of something else to add to this list later tonight, but for now that's all.
Have a lovely day!
