Sunday Social

1. Favorite breakfast food: I love chocolate chip pancakes with real maple syrup, not that Aunt Jemima stuff.
2. Best way to spend a free day: Watch TV, do some shopping, maybe bake something, sleep late, and surf the web.
3. Airline ticket to anywhere in the world….where would you go and why? Can I get a bunch of tickets so I can travel the world? No? Then I'd go to England and Ireland. My dad's family is from England and I have cousins there. My dad's family is also from Ireland and I've always loved it.
4. You can only leave the house with one thing…what is it? Oooo, I love my coupons but I need my phone more. But I need my wallet with money so I can eat and take the bus. Hm....I need my phone more.
5. How do you take your coffee? I don't drink coffee. I hate it, bleck.

Last Minute Valentine's Day Ideas: Gifts & Romance

Did Valentine's Day sneak up on you and you forgot to get a gift or plan something? Don't worry, I'm going to share last minute ideas with you, that your significant other will think you spent a whole month planning.

1. Flowers & Chocolates
Head to your local florist and purchase some chocolates. It's a classic gift and what girl doesn't like chocolate? Plus, it's the thought that counts.

2. Head to the mall and buy her favorite item.
Whatever they had their eye, even if they dropped hints or told you straight up, buy it. Surprise them!

3. While you're at the mall, buy her jewelry.
Head to the jewelry store and buy her a bracelet or necklace. Yes, you may have done that last year, but it's a classic gift and it's the thought that counts.

4. Create a picnic.
It doesn't take a lot to plan one. Buy or cook/bake their favorite meal/dessert, buy some wine, pack it in a basket with a tablecloth, and go somewhere romantic. You can do it during the day in the park under a tree or at night under the stars. Or you can even go to the beach (if it's warm enough) and have it there. If it's cold out, set up the picnic inside your home.

5. Take them out to eat.
Don't do a chain restaurant, take them to their favorite place or somewhere new.

6. Get a hotel room for a night.
Get there early, lay rose petals, a bottle of wine, and enjoy your day with her. Create a bubble bath for the two of you, cuddle in bed, order room service, watch TV or movies together, and just relax. If you have kids, this will be a great escape from them. You can leave with a babysitter or the grandparents. If you can't afford a hotel room, you can still do this at home. Just leave the kids with someone else.

Whatever you do with your significant other or whatever you buy them, do it with love. They're bound to love it.

xx Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day For Singles

The joy of Valentine's Day! You're with the one you love, you're spending a romantic day with them, you exchange gifts and kisses, and you might even get engaged! Valentine's Day is lovely for those of us in a relationship. But what about those people who are single or just broke up with their significant other? Valentine's Day is not so much fun anymore. You despise the couples who are together, you're disgusted seeing everyone being lovey dovey, you feel bad about yourself, you get depressed, etc. But if you're single, it doesn't have to be that way. You can enjoy the day just as much as those lovey dovey couples who are making out under a tree. It just takes some creativity and it requires nothing but yourself, loving yourself that is.

1. Take yourself out for dinner.
Yes! Go to a nice restaurant, get out of those sweats, take your hair down from that pony tail, dress up, put makeup on, and eat out by yourself. It doesn't matter if you're by yourself and you're dressing up for no one in particular. Dress up to feel confident, to feel beautiful, and for yourself. Heck! You might actually meet someone there and it may turn out to be a relationship.

2. Spend the day with your single girlfriends.
Have them come over for a movie night and popcorn. Act like teenagers again; prank call people, paint your nails, gossip, etc. Feel young again! Even have a sleepover with them! It'll help you forget that you're single or your ex that we shall not name. Or go out with them to a restaurant, to a spa, shopping, etc.

3. Do Not eat ice cream, watch sappy love movies, listen to sad love songs, binge eat, and cry just because you're single. No! Put that spoon down now missy!

4. Go get a manicure and pedicure! Or go for a spa day!
Make yourself feel beautiful and pampered.

5. Take a trip somewhere, either a weekend trip or a day trip.
Go somewhere new, stay in a hotel for a day or a weekend, and relax. Get your mind off of work, life, your ex, etc.

6. While you're at the hotel or even in your house, take a nice hot bubble bath.
Light candles, maybe drink some champagne, pamper yourself, listen to your favorite music, and just relax. Again, it'll take your mind off of life, work, and your ex.

7. Cook a nice meal for yourself.
Make your favorite meal (or bake your favorite dessert) and indulge in your favorite meal. But again, don't binge eat just because you're upset.

8. Go see a movie by yourself. Do karoke. Do something fun!

9. Do something new for yourself.
Get a haircut, a new hairdo, change your wardrobe, etc. Become a new person. That will make you feel better, give you confidence, and maybe you'll meet someone new. Plus, if you see your ex, they'll be like why did I leave her again?

10. Learn more about yourself.
Discover who you are! By doing that, you'll experience more of who you are. You might discover you have a hidden talent or you can try a new hobby.

Remember, don't binge eat, don't cry over your ex or because you're single, don't eat a pint of ice cream, don't watch sappy movies, don't listen to sad love songs, and don't stay home all day. Only you can make yourself happy, no one else can. Get out, discover who you are, have fun, relax, pamper yourself, spend time with your girlfriends, etc. But most importantly love yourself and strut that confidence around like it's nobody's business.

xx Happy Valentine's Day!
